SEME
Overview
SEME is a new program funded through the Department of Family and Community Medicine and the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care to provide family physicians with a three-month, full time, remunerated fellowship through a comprehensive, practical and hands-on EM experience. SEME includes eight weeks of rotations in emergency departments in Toronto and the option of supervised placements at rural- or semi-rural hospitals.Posted Mar. 16, 2012: A new job opportunties section.

The Rural Northern Initiative Program a joint project between the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (MoHLTC) and the Department of Family and Community Medicine (DFCM). The program was established in 2006 to provide medical care in small northern Ontario communities facing a physician shortage and expose DFCM residents to the exciting and rewarding work available in northern Ontario.Practice Ontario is a career-planning service administered by HealthForceOntario Marketing & Recruitment Agency. Through this service SEME learners can connect with a personal career advisor called a Community Partnership Coordinator (CPC), who explores locum and permanent job opportunities in Ontario, assists with résumé preparation, and arranges visits to and interviews with potential employers.
