This event is hosted by The Conversation Lab.

Attention doctors and nurse practitioners!

Join us on May 29 from 12:00-5:00pm for an in-person, interactive pre-conference workshop to practise and hone skills designed to improve efficiency in primary care. You can sign up for the pre-conference workshop only and you do not need to be a member of the Canadian Society of Palliative Care Providers to attend.

  • Where: The Westin Harbor Castle Hotel, Toronto, ON
  • Associated Event: Advanced Learning in Palliative Medicine (ALPM) Pre-Conference
  • When: Wednesday, May 29, 2024 from 12:00pm–5:00pm
  • Cost: $500 per participant

This workshop will introduce you to evidence-informed, empathic communication skills and a structured conversation guide to lead conversations around goals of care, values-based decision making, and planning with patients and their families.

You will practise newly-learned skills in small groups using real-world cases played by actors and receive tailored feedback from coaches. Clinician teachers will be introduced to practical tools they can use in their teaching practices.

This workshop is taught by VitalTalk faculty and is a pre-requisite for their further Faculty Development training.

Space is limited to 18 participants so sign up early to reserve your spot!
